1998 mustang will crank but will not start

I have a 1998 mustang that I rarely drive...I would regularly start it until the
battery died this winter.  I recently change the battery and now it cranks but
will not turn over.  What are the possible problems that should be checked
first?

"Cranking" is the same as "turning over"- if it does not "fire" then you must check the "fuel system" and the "ignition system"
