I have a mustang with a 4.6l v8 sat for 8 months got a new
intake manifold and gasket. It's been lagging power when I
step on the gas. Takes two starts to turn over smokes a
little when it start then goes away. Has a sour smell when I
drive it when it get warm help me out please?.

For the power lag, you have delayed throttle response, I had that on my 2012 GT and on 2014 Camaro SS, the solution is easy, get a performance chip tuner, I got the BAMA 91 OCT tune on my GT and I specifically requested from them to include an improved throttle response tune....never had any issues ever since.
