Inaccurate car information

Asked by GuruX8JSG Nov 09, 2018 at 11:01 PM about the 2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I bought a car today that said it had
navigation in the CarGurus ad but after
purchasing the car I found out it does not
have navigation and the dealer told me I was
out of luck because it was CarGurus fault.
How does CarGurus get the information
about the car is it truly by VIN number?

You bought the car an never checked or asked if it had navigation? Dealers post their ads here and on other sites. Ads for the Ford dealership I work for are posted here, but my dealership does NOT subscribe to or use CarGurus. Our sales manager has no idea how our vehicle ads show up here. It still likely is the dealers fault, but you are at fault also for not checking out the vehicle properly and asking enough questions.

Cargurus doesn't get anything. Far as the vin# it goes back on the manufacturer. You might want to check with your lender to refinance because the price changes when a feature is missing.
