Does anyone know the current book value of the mazda 4-door LX sedan 626?

hi Christa, There are so many unknowns here for me to give you an exact blue book value (such as engine size, mileage, transmission, equipment.) I did run two searches, one was private party price (if you were to buy it from a seller not a dealer,) and the other was a retail price (if you were to buy the car from a dealership.) For both I used 100,000 miles as the mileage since it is a 13 year old car. The private party price if good condition is $2,175. The retail price if in good condition is $3,400. You can go to www.kbb.com and follow the "Used" tab to a better idea of how much the 626 you are looking is worth. Hope that helps, good luck!
Dear Christa77-- Yes, Bovan knows because Bovan knows everything. The current Kelley Blue Book value for that car with normal mileage and normal equipment is between $1,500 and $3,500, depending whether you are buying or selling and if you are a private party or a dealer. Did you know that KBB.com asks you for your zipcode? Enter a southern California zip code and the value you get is significantly higher than if you enter a zipcode in a city like Boston. Good luck from Bovan.

I hope you read this Christa. If it is a 2.0 liter with an automatic transmission, steer clear of it. Those of us who own them have been pushing for a recall for years to no avail. The transmission overheats in fairly normal conditions and dies. Manual transmissions are fine, and the 6 cylinder transmissions seem marginal.
