I have 1998 Ford Ranger 4 cyl 5 speed with an issue with the valve spring bad or lifter rod sticking. Any estimates of a cost to have a valve job done on this make and model?

The 4 cylinder is overhead cam and does not have push rods and lifters as such. Could be a valve spring though or a problem with the cam shaft and or lash adjuster. Putting a rebuilt cylinder head on may be the way to go.
