Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi there,
I have 1980 camaro z28, as I drive the car I feel the engines heat on my foot!
It is really hot
Do I only need to isolate the interior by using any of sound deadners like
dynamat or hushmat? Or there is another thing?

I would insulate the exhaust with header wrap. The dynamat can also help. Do you have headers?

Check to see if a heat shield is missing or damaged. Good luck with your "new" classic!
