Is there a manual transmission that can be used to replace the automatic in a 1991 dohc mazda 929?

It's much harder to put in a manual in place of an automatic instead of vice versa because you need to add a clutch pedal assembly under the dash. Why do you want to anyway? Is the auto. bad?

Hey! You ever do this?? I think it would be fantastic!!
To squeeze out some mpg and performance without esoteric parts? I don't have the skill to do this, but think it could be a pretty cool upgrade. One of this cars big pluses is the mpg in such a luxury car. Adding to the mpg makes it even more desireable!
