Water damage

During a flood my 91 Mazda
navajo sucked water into intake
through hole in exhaust .  Engine
won't turn over.  How can I tell
what was damaged exactly?

your engine is hydro-locked. try removing the spark plugs and crank it a couple of times. water would spit out of the cylinders. reinstall plugs,if your engine starts after that warm it up, turn it off and do an oil change
