2014 Chevy Cruze ignition problem

Car will start sometimes ,  and sometimes it won’t
catch the starter , I have to turn the key back n forth
for awhile until car turns over , after a long period of
driving the car won’t start up , even after a 15 min
drive around the block , but once I start giggle the
wires going to the starter and tap the starter the car
starts right up

I have had this problem and think I know the answer, turn the key so only the radio comes on then turn the key all the way, I think it takes a split second for the anti theft system to read the key, if you turn the key all the way it has not read the system and the anti theft kicks in . Have not had a problem starting in 2 months when I start this way.
