It is in a setting, I forget what it is called but as you drive faster the volume will increase so when you decelerate to a slower speed the volume will lower. Go to the menu and find volume settings.

Do you have a Android phone using Android audio connected to your radio via USB? I found that sometimes the radio will go from loud to quiet quiet to loud because it's cycling the Google Assistant which automatically quiet the radio as if it's supposed to say something but never does.
