Selec terrain

Asked by GuruL783W May 01, 2019 at 10:02 PM about the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus 4WD

I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee when I set the
terrain to sport and drive around town , park
turn engine off, and return to the vehicle and
start engine it goes back to Auto mode, is
this normal? Thanks

I’m aware of the ESS , I’m wondering if the selec terrain is working properly (4x4). When I use the sport mode it reverts back to Auto the next time I get into the vehicle. Should it be doing that or does it always go back to Auto mode?

Yes that’s normal, it doesn’t remember your mode sadly. Idk how Jeep didn’t think to give us that. They also pretty locked up the computer so we can’t do anything to it without completely voiding the warranty, not even wheel size / speedometer tuning.
