the service "servie engine soon" warning light has come on in my 2004 mercury mountaineer. it is a V8 and has about 11700 miles on it. it is in good shape and I keep up on the maintenance. My local dealer has told me the "PCM" needs to be replaced and wants to charge me over $2100 to replace it. Is this reasonable?

Thanks for answering Mark. it sounds kinda steep to me to and I don't have a lot of knowledge. Not sure what code (s) they got, but I could probably find out. Even though this is a reputable dealer and I have been using them since I bought my vehicle in 06, I think lately their prices for repairs have been suspiciously high. If I an get the info, I will let you know.
