what if my vehicle is worth more than the one i
want? can i trade or is it better to sell & then
buy desired vehicle ?

my car is worth more than the one i see that id like to buy.. does dealer pay difference back to me or is it best to sell to private party?

Check the trade in value as it may not be as high as you think. You also should factor in any debt you owe on it. I doubt too many dealers are going to give you cash back if you trade it in on a cheap car but you can always ask.

Assuming average miles and condition your car might fetch $10,000 on trade in.
