Car overheated father cooling down fixed problem car won't start.turns over like before but won't firer.Is there reset switch or something I'm missing.

When car got hot it was pinging then died.could motor be cooked

Yes it could be should have turned it off before it got to the pinging might could have saved it.

top gasket might be blown, check oil for white color and remove water cap if the water blows out(start car) its blown

9il is completely clean(waterless)car won't firer off only turns over as it had coil unplugge.cranks over an sounds good no noices,is there reset on car that needs reset from overheating it or to hot car shuts off

No promises that this is going to work but first check to see if there is spark to the spark plugs if yes replace spark plugs.
