How to reset code for “oil change required after you have changed the oil.

My son changed my oil but he does not know how to reset the code. I am 77
yrs Old and I could not afford to take it to the shop.

Your owner's manual should tell you how to do it. If you don't have the owner's manual, visit the website called "just give me the damn manual". If your owner's manual is available it's a free download. Hope that helps! Jim

In my 06 Mountaineer you need to enter the system check menu via the dash control and then scroll to the RESET OIL LIFE screen. At that point you need to hold the switch until the screen reads OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%.
