2002 mercury mountaineer

I have a 2002 mercury mountaineer. Just had the
transmission and and the engine replaced but it's
now misfiring we replaced all the spark plugs and
the coil packs for cylinders 3 and 8 and it's still
misfiring and the check engine light is flashing
don't know what else we could do if someone else
could give me advice please we are about to give
up

And the same problem with Ford Taurus and it was my Pistons I threw away the engine but not the same it is your car what does the computer say could be something stupid and maybe it wasn't even the Pistons in my car but that's at the mechanic said so if you find out please let me know

A 2005 Mercury Mountaineer reliable as hell I try to keep up on me I have two hundred and forty five thousand miles on it I want to take out the spark plugs but I'm scared I will break them and f****** threads any suggestions
