I've got a Ford Mercury sable 2002 6 cylinder

I went to get my car inspected it's a Ford Mercury
sable 2002 6 cylinder and the check engine light
was off and the guy said it passed and he brought
out the computer and it failed. They said that all 6
cylinders are miss firing and now the check engine
light won't go off
