Replaced Battery and now have a delay when starting the car

I took the battery back to the dealership where I bought the car and they gave me a new battery manufactured in 09/2015, according to the sticker on the side of the battery. This battery actually has 700 cold cranking amps. So my question is that now I have put the new battery in the car, when I turn the key nothing happens for 30 to 60 seconds and then all the dashboard lights pop on. I don't think there is supposed to be a delay but I'm not sure what the problem could be at this point. Do I need to run the car for awhile with the new battery in it?

Sounds like a loose conection, recheck that the battery cables are clean on the inside as well os the outside and tight

2003 Mercury sable. Took it to a transmission specialist he wasn't sure what the problem was either. Ran his machine and 7 of the electrical codes came up.

both tail lights out,and instrument lights out,i replaced the dashboard lights (no-help) i used my wifes headlite and dimmer switch since we have the same car....ive been in so many positions yesterdt 3 Answers

tail outs out,dashboard lites out,checking the manual (chiltons) theres no fuse for either im going to try the brake lite switch,as so many of you have pointed out,i"l let you know what happens......
