Just repair brakes and one rotor on the right

pretty od to have a engine problem after doing a brake job. when ever you put a new rotor on its best to change both sides. not just one. the new rotor is thicker then the one you changed and the one you didnt. when you do that you can start to feel the vehicle pull in the direction of the new rotor while breaking. is there a check engine light on?
