2000 Mercury Cougar revs up when I turn the heater (defogger) on and makes shifting a little harder
Hi,
I recently bought a 2000 mercury cougar and I currently have a problem where
the car revs up to about 2-2.5 thousand rmps before going back down to a
little below 1 thousand where it should be when just idleling.
Whenever I'm driving and turn the defogger on it also makes shifting a little
harder- not the actual shift knob but just switching gears isnt as smooth.
I have no idead since im fairly knew to mechanics but based on the "research"
ive done it sounds like some sort of vacuum leak
