Why would I have temporarily lost 1st and 2nd gear on my 2019 f-250?

Yesterday afternoon after driving for about an hour, 1st and 2nd gear would not
engage on my 2019 F-250.  I could not shift into it manually either.  Today the
problem seems to have disappeared.

If you have the (very complicated) 10 speed auto it will skip gears under certain circumstances. I would notify your dealer and get documentation of your complaint in case this problem comes back.
