is there a fuse that controls the hatchback on a 1999 cougar if so where is it located

So far I've read pages and pages of internet forums and manuals, and guess what... NO INFORMATION ON COUGAR HATCH FUSE OR RELAY... I can only believe that someone at Ford or Mercury thought this would be some kind of sick joke.

Hello from Romania ! I found why my Cougar trunk doesn't open. It was broken fuse under the dash board . Open fuse box inside the car and there a 2 rows of fuses. Up the row from right to left is a yellow fuse 20 A. Just replace it and trunk work. GOOD LUCK
