My 1999 Mercury Tracer will not turn over. Is it the battery or a stuck solenoid?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was not starting in the cold.  After some vigorous cranking it finally started but now
when I try to start it it will not turn over.  There seems to be no battery drain that I can tell
but all it does is click click click.  I am wondering if I got the solenoid stuck and if there is
an easy fix for it.

take a volt meter to your battery if it is 12 volts check your grounds and power wires, clean connections on the starter. if it still wont start then it is your starter
