What am I doing wrong

I would double check the timing. If timing is off even a little it can be enough so as not to start. Then go back and double check yourself. Everything you did if not right on could cause the car not to start.
Is that the 3.3L? If so and if timing belt broke, jumped time or was installed incorrectly you probably have some bent valves. It's an interference engine. Do a compression check. Any cylinders showing 0 psi will have bent valves.
Got it running. Disturber was off just slightly still sounds a little rough will do compression test as suggested. Thank you. Could it still run with bent valves?
Yes but will be real rough. Will be missing on the cylinders with bent valves.
it would also cause the valve guides to ware or possibly stick and cause extreme damage to your motor but this depends on if the valve face bent or the shaft bent.
