Honda 200,000 mile warranty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I am buying a 2019 Honda insight. I am
considering purchasing from two different
dealerships. One dealership has a 20 year
200,000 mile warranty but the cost is $1000
more. Is it worth paying the extra for this
warranty?

Yes, it is a hybred and they warranty is an extension of the normal Honda Power train warranty so it is not dependent upon this particular dealership staying in business.
I would only buy the warranty if it is factory backed. Some extended warranties are little more than a scam.
Yes, the warranty is backed by Honda and it is purchased from a Honda dealer. My question is, is it worth $1000 more for this Warranty? I will probably only keep the car to about 100,000 miles so most likely there would not be a power train issue within that time but the electric batteries are also covered and I don’t know much about the longevity of them.
Thanks for the replies. I did find out that the warranty is not transferable.
This sounds like a dealer special. Check out their reputation They probably claim that all problems are due to wear which is not covered. As always read the fine print!
