full synthetic or synthetic blend for new Optima SX 2.0t

Asked by GuruHC4F7 Jul 16, 2019 at 05:18 PM about the 2019 Kia Optima SX Turbo FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

just bought a 19 Optima SX - 2k miles so far.  Trying to decide between the standard synthetic blend on a 5-6k mi interval or a full synthetic on about a 10k mi interval. Thinking Mobile 1 either way.  Thoughts?

1 Answer

If it were my car I would go full synthetic but change the oil at 5,000 miles. Clean oil means a longer lasting engine..
