Could valves be damaged? Lined up marks on cams and crank. Car starts and idles just fine. Was going about 55 when belt broke. From what I've heard this isn't an interference engine. Thanks for any help.

if you're valves were damaged the engine would not run or it would make alot of noise you have to make sure the timing marks were lined up on the compression stroke because they also can be lined up on exhaust stroke which will make the car lose power
