1993 is the old Ford OBD 1 system, so if the light is on then there is something wrong with engine management control system. But you can disconnect a battery cable, turn on the headlight switch for 3 to 5 seconds, turn off the headlight switch and reconnect the battery cable, this will reset the computer, but when the computer see the same problem it will turn the light back on. You can use a test light and a jumper wire to pull the codes yourself, you can Google it or there are you tube videos showing you how. Then you can look at the code chart, find the code and run the diagnostics.
