step by step how to time with timming light a 92 capri non turbo

Jack up car. Remove right tire . Remove plastic splash guard . Look for small line on crank shaft pully or [some models have it on the damper]. You may have to rotate engine ] Clean and mark it with white chaulk [so you can see it better]. Clean timing tabe on plastic bottom engine cover. Attach timing light to coil wire. [not number one plug wire, All pistons fire at top dead center and you will get more flashes from timing light] Disconnect vaccum line on distrbutor and plug it . Start engine . loosen distributor , turn to set timing to top of timing tab . This give about 12* advance. [12 degress gives much better power]
