Electric locks

I just bought a 1992 Topaz, when I unlocked the drivers door with a key,  and pushed the unlock button the other 3 doors will not unlock except from the inside.  can you tell me why
I am not sure of the trim, but it is a 4 door and it is an automatic.

sounds like a bad lock motor. break out the meter, go into that door and check the lock motor.
