Will have to remove door panel to inspect what is going on with it. Use caution tho. Moving parts in there can pinch the crap out of you if your not careful.

That's great. Inspect motor and cables with window mech. If all looks ok plug door switch back in and toggle the window(keep hands clear). Notice where the noise is coming from. I suspect its liable to be a motor issue. Some window motor can be gotten from auto zone for a fairly reasonable price.

OK - now look and see if you can see where it's jammed or slipping and if you are lucky you can fix it with some grease or a gentle nudge.

to dandyoun - you beat me to the punch again, I gotta learn to type, rather than hunt and peck, if I'm going to keep up with you.

I am not positive that is the issue but if it were mine I would look into replacing the window motor as my next step. Oh with some of these motors a light tap on the housing gets them back going for a while. Just for giggles might want to try tapping on it with a small hammer or screw driver. Note I said lightly tap on it. Lol. Might get lucky.

My Dad use to call the gentle tap "the Air Force Drop Test", he said that when something did not work they dropped it. If it started to work- problem solved. If it did not start to work "well it was broke anyway, requisition a new one.

so the motor had a reset button - cool. That means it probably over heated because it was sticking. If you have it freed up now then you might be okay without a new motor. I'd run it for a while and as long as it doesn't over hear again you are done.
