I have a 1998 Ford Windstar and the
master window switch will not roll
down the passenger front window or
the left rear wing window when I
installed a used one that was
guaranteed off eBay I had the same

I 've been told that there is a computer module down by the inside fuse box that gives out and causes all kinds of cabin problem, lights coming on,window not working,no dash lights.no cruize. mine is just now starting to go out and good luck finding one. I think its call the accessory control unit

Probably a stripped gear! There is a plastic gear that strips out inside the door. I disassembled the entire door assembly motor gearbox and all. The gear only rotates half way around so I just rotated it and used the half that was not stripped. BINGO! Window works fine now.
