Are the seats already set up for heat?

My mini seats look like they are set up with the heat option. And all I would have to do is buy the swithchs and hook them up. Is it that simple?
And is the car pre wired for other options that could be connected that easily?

They are not set up for heat automatically. They may have all the wiring connections, but that doesn't mean they have the seat heaters. Most of the wiring harnesses are full-option, and then the manufacturer connects add-on accessories as ordered. A blank or empty connection isn't that easy to fill, though, as the BCM also has to be programmed to recognize the options.
No. If you're handy, you can add them yourself and save some big $$$. I have done a lot of retrofitting options that my car didn't come with. Some do require you to take your car to the dealer and have that option programmed into the car...
