Asked by Chrobin2 Jul 01, 2019 at 08:03 AM about the 2019 Toyota Camry XSE FWD

Question type: General

Purchased a 2019 Camry XSE.  We cannot get the Homelink function to
connect to our Craftsman garage door opener.  Have never had problems with
other autos, even my husbands 2017 Tacoma.  We have cleared the catche in
the opener and tried numerous times.  Suggestions?

Did your husband check homelink.com? Maybe contact them directly? Maybe it's a setting on the new car?

Having exact same issue with 2019 Camry XSE and Overhead Door. Never get a quick flashing light. Did you solve your issue?

So...here’s what we found. Look at the directions in the manual. We read it as if when you have a door with the revolving codes that you just do the second step of the process. Actually, you need to,do BOTH processes. Start with doing the opener inside the car about 3 inches from the mirror, THEN press the button on the actual mounted garage door opener and press and hold the mirror button for 3 seconds. We only had to,press the button once. Our door is finally programmed. And we were able to do the in laws on button two as well. So...it’s. To an either or. You have to do both.

Interesting. I did the entire process and could never get the Homelink to program to the remote. Went from slow blink to solid... never fast blinking. I’ll call Homelink. Thanks for your help!
