Is the advertised price on CarGurus binding?

Asked by Guru164WR Mar 05, 2020 at 11:36 AM about the 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE AWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

How binding are the prices advertise on your site. My question arises from
Whitby Toyota. They sent out a price through CarGurus for$47,995.00 for a
2019 Highlander Hybrid. I requested contact and have herd nothing as
11:00am today. The price on line with Whitby Toyota is $54,000.00.
I find this false advertising.

The prices are set by the dealer and not binding. Are you looking at the IMV number? That is a Cargurus average number not a 'for sale' number. You want to look at asking price. If in fact the $48K is an asking price, it's probably a lowball number to get you to contact them. It is good you are doing your research. Find a dealer that is honest is key.
