My 2002 mazda b3000 only drives in d2 when I put it in drive it revs up and don't move I took it to the local shop all they said was buy new or used transmission I asked if it maybe an torque converter they just said start looking for transmisson

Well I went for an drive and put it in d when I was driving it works tell I start to slow down or stop
