Very hard job. Not for a novice as there will be some part swapping and some redesigning of some parts you might eventually get it to work. It will NOT be plug and play. Of course it won't pass any emission tests or safety inspections.
Thanks Gene- Ya know gotta change intake 85 got throttle body carb- 91 is Windsor w/injectors. Knew the ECM would have to be swapped only thing I didn`t know about if the AOD would fit where C6 is. OOOPPPSSS the oil pan will have to be changed along with Alt. I know they haven`t changed the 302 block, Wanted to get OD in the old girl help w/fuel mileage.. 85 has 98k on it, so might go ahead and change oil pump and timing gear & chain that's about it. So far lol Take care & keep ur powder dry!
Many years ago I went the other way, put an EFI engine into in carbureted Mustang II V8 Ghia coupe, had to do a lot of part swapping, to retro it back into a carbureted engine the only real problem was the ring gear as the EFI was smaller than the carbureted one, had to have it rebalanced for the torque converter.
