I have a coolant leak that is coming from around the
engine block, is my water pump bad?

if the leak is under the water pump area most likely the seal is gone and you need a new water pump installed

Could also be as simple as a loose hose fitting but with the vehicle as new as it is, get it checked out and then proceed with the "fix" to stop the leak.
