Car cuts off

Asked by Angela Jan 31, 2018 at 09:21 AM about the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Just curious if anyone has any idea... my car will
crank, but unless I’m holding the gas pedal down
then it will not continue to run. I had to keep going
from neutral to drive after revving it up in order to
get home. The RPM just falls all the way down and
shuts off.
