Why does my car keep dying on idle?

Asked by Cwebb92 Nov 12, 2020 at 08:15 PM about the 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

I have an 03 mistubishi galant es 4 cylinder. When I
drive it around it will die anytime I need to idle. If I
start it and just sit with it though, it idles just fine.
The problem only starts after I drive it. I have no
check engine light and my battery is about 8
months old.

When stopping, does it sound like its getting too much fuel? Or not enough? Throttle position sensor could be a factor if it sounds like too much fuel in correlation to air
