PLEASE!!!! MY baby is overheating help!

The car also started smoking and kinda stalled last night after it overheated. I've only had the car 3 months and the guy I bought it from is the one who said it didnt need any fluid because he did them before he posted it. But I've added oil so I'm not sure what else I should do.

We've got a couple of things going on here. First and foremost there is a special way to refill your cooling system after it's been drained for servicing. With the engine cold, remove the cap from the plastic coolant recovery tank. Now remove the thermostat housing and the thermostat. Pour a 50 50 mixture of antifreeze and water directly into the hole in the engine where the thermostat was. Fill up the engine until the coolant level is at the top of the thermostat housing. Now put the thermostat back in and put the thermostat housing back on. Now fill the plastic coolant recovery tank to the full line. Now start the engine and let it run with the cap off the plastic coolant recovery tank. Watch the coolant level in the recovery tank and top it off as needed until the level stops going down. Now put the cap on the recovery tank. As for the oil, change it immediately!! The drop in oil pressure is because the engine overheated so much that the oil got very very thin, like a watery thin, and so the pressure dropped! That's not good at all!! Your oil is now ruined and needs to be changed immediately!! Hope that helps! Jim

Agree 100% with Jim. Remember to use the 50/50 antifreeze mixture when filling/topping off the recovery tank.
