2003 Mitsubishi outlander doesn't show D for drive

Asked by Cyatsko12 Mar 03, 2019 at 01:13 PM about the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Mitsubishi outlander shows
park reverse and neutral but no D for
drive on the dash. It also has a clunk
from the rear which I am hoping has
something to do with this? Am I missing
a fuse or relay or something for the D
not to show and for me not to be able to
use the manual shift + and -. ?? Any
answers would be appreciated.

Nobody has the answer? Mine does it too, acts like its jumping in and out of od. Like an old lockup converter used to do. If anybody ever figures it out please let me know

Ours also has no d for drive. Also we found the clunk to be brackets a left and right one that had to be replaced. Relatively inexpensive, I’m thinking it was about $300-400 total.
