how do i remove the stearing wheel cover safely to fix a horn problem

the car is a 2001 mitsubishi galant se the horn is consistatly blowing i have checked the
fuse and relay and all wires i belive it is sticking in side the stearing wheel behind the air
bag

disconnect the battery and airbag fuse/relay and wait 15 minutes. there should be four holes on the back of the steering wheel assembly take out the screws. Being careful always of the possibility of deploying the airbag keep your face away from the airbag. Remove the airbag assembly keep it pointed away from your body.
