Why is my Galant cutting off ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased a 2001 Mitisubishi Galant  The "service engine soon" light was on and it turned out we had to replace the EGR Solenoid. The only issue with the car, previous to this small repair was that it kind of vibrates or shakes when you are accelerating, then when you get to 30 mph, it stops shaking/vibrating, drives normally.

Anyway, after replacing the solenoid, now the car feels like it will cut off, when car is at a stoplight or stop sign or in park. I feel shaking and then sputtering and the RPM fluctuates. When I was parking last night, it cut off. It started right back up though. Any ideas what needs to be fixed now?

As a side note - the car doesn't do this every time. One day, I can drive it and no issues at all and then the very next day there are problems. Also note, no lights are coming on saying there is an issue.
