what would make my 99' Mitsubishi eclipse shall when releasing the clutch ?

my car broke down 7 months ago so far, an i have just got all new parts, and
upgraded, im suppose to be out of state for work, and everytime its running,
and i go to release the clutch the motor dies. its not the fuel pump, timing is
correct, and other than that i dont know what else would cause it. please help
me.

Clutch is bad or needs adjusted. Or see if slave cylinder is low (or brake master cylinder if it uses it instead of a slave cylinder.)
