Gas tank boiling

I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant I recently replaced
the intake manifold upon starting vehicle I realize
the gas tank is literally boiling hot to touch what is
wrong plz help

only thing I can think of is an exhaust leak is heating it up and you've just now notice it , anything electrical would probably blow a fuse
