98 3000gt wont start

Dumping fuel could be caused by bad O2 sensors, excessive fuel pressure or bad fuel injectors. But in your case the plugs nay be getting wet due to no spark. I would recommend you do some Google research on the causes of no spark for that particular vehicle.
Remove distributor cap and make sure rotor is actually turning. If it is, check module to make sure it's getting power
These cars dont have distributor
If u have spark and olugs are wet, means you're getting fuel. Double check timing and if timing is good, do a compression test. If compression is good, check c02 sensors and catalystic converter
Compression is low but not low enough for car not to start, going to replace fuel pressure regulator,im getting 120 psi all front and back except for one which is about 192,timing is off like one or 2 teeth
Why don't you get the timing set properly? Also having cylinders with compression of 120 and 192 indicates problem.
If the timing is off by 1 or 2 teeth, it won't start
It does have spark, going to set timing correct,i replaced plugs and wires, and waiting on my fuel pressure regulator, hopefully that corrects the problems
Try setting the timing and starting it without the pressure regulator, I think that's your main problem
With timing off that will cause my compression issue, setting it im hoping that will correct it,i dont believe i have bent valves because there would be 0 to litte compression at all,i also replaced crank and cam sensors, which is there a certain way these need to be installed, thanx for the help
So i have never had a promblem like this i have fuel spark, and compression, but not getting rpm signal when cranking, any ideas?thanx
These cars don't have a distributor cap and rotor for one...its control by a PTU power transfer unit also controlled by the ECU WHEN you changed spark plugs did you gap them correctly? What type of plugs are you using? Also I know its a easy mistake but make sure all wires go back to the right coils or else it won't fire in timing procedure.
Hopefully this is my last question, when timing my 98 3000gt sl,do i set timing mark on crankshaft one tooth back?or do i line it dead on mark?this is confusing because everything i have read on it are conflicting, some say a tooth back some say it should be dead on mark, please help thanx
Certainly a service manual would help, but I would guess that the timing marks need to be aligned.
Well I'm going through same procedure. Set crank online for first then cams and make sure they don't move! Install belt snug but don't stretch the belt over the water pump. Once all is set don't let loose the pin on hydraulic tensioner. Crank over by hand one revolution and see if all timing marks are online. Then pull pin..it should be free to spin before you pull it. Also make sure the tensioner pulley is at 12'0clock and not at 9. This is what happened to mine when the mech didn't properly set it and wore out the hydraulic tensioner. Bet all my exhaust valve and timing skipped 2 teeth!
So i set timing dead on new plugs wires changed oil and filter new pressure regulator clean egr put it all back together but have not tried starting it i am waiting for abwarm day right now i have heater in the engine bay with hood down so on the next 50-60 day i will let you know the outcome thanx for adive
find the problem??? i have the same issue spark fuel and timing is set no rpm or start....

The PTU has something to do with RPM signal,, I would change the PTU it could be giving the coil the wrong time signal to give spark and then no rpms signal
