Question type: Car Customization

I dont know anything about transmissions. Is there a good automatic transmission for the 4G63T that can handle a lot of horsepower and is relatively cheap?

No the mitsu automatic trannies are really bad and there isn't much aftermarket for them so you can't really build em up... I would sujjest keeping the manual if you get it from the 4g64t. Plus if you ever decide to use it for auto cross then you can down shift and go around turns quicker. Get a stage 2 clutch and a lightweight flywheel and you will be set.

That's not true. I was pushing close to 300 @ the wheels and all I had was a trans fluid cooler. Check IPT and level 10. They make performance transmissions for many budgets.
