Check your battery connections. Also check the negative battery cable that hooks to the frame and motor. These cars are real funny about the frame and motor grounds.
Will your dash warning lights come on when you turn the key to the on position?
Also check battery voltage if it's low then fully charge it. When you get car back running check the alternator output. Should be 14.5 volts to keep battery fully charged.

How do i check all that its my first car
Ok you have a connection issue or low battery charge issue. Check the battery voltage and battery connections.
First check the battery terminals. They must be real tight and clean. Then use a multi meter to check the battery voltage.
Ok. Since you just put the battery in it make sure the cables on the battery are real tight. If you can wiggle them at all it will not crank. Oh and don't stress to bad this should be an easy fix we just need to keep checking a few things.
Since you replaced the battery I take it that the other one was bad. This could have been caused by a bad alternator. And your new battery kept just enough of a charge to keep you running today but the alternator was not keeping it charged so when voltage got to low the car went dead.
Turn your key to the on position then turn on your head lights. Now turn the key all the way to the start position. What did the lights look like with it in on position and what did they do when you turned it to the start position
Is it a five speed or automatic transmission?
Ok and you are pushing the clutch all the way to the floor when you try to start it.

Ya n i tried it again and when i had the key in the ignition with the door open i heard i very faint long beep then it stopped so wat does that mean
Sounds to me like your battery is dead. You will need to get it tested and charged.
Did you happen to have your doors open a lot today or sitting listening to the radio with the car not running?

Ok is there anyway i can text u personally till we figure this out
Ok your battery is dead. You will need to have it charged. If you don't have a battery charger you can take the battery out and take it to auto zone and they will charge it up for free.

Ok thanku ill ask u more later if it doesnt work ima go get it charged now
You can also jump start it to get it running but I don't advice that you do that. It will put added stress on your alternator and you could cause it to go bad. Best thing to do is to charge the battery and to remember that if the car is not running the radio and dome lights will run your battery back down.
Sorry that I don't give my number out. But I will help you get it back going.
It's about mid night here in lower Alabama. I will check in on you in the morning.
My son turns sixteen in April. This will be his first car. 1991 3000 gt sl. We built it together.
My avatar picture is of it at a car show last year. They are real neat cars but you have to stay on top of the maintenance or it will get real expensive real quick.
dead battery pop start it or jump it and should be all good
Can you use a 1992 GT 3000 alternator on a 1997 GT 3000???
