Asked by Bailee Jul 13, 2017 at 03:33 AM about the 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car stalled and wouldn't start awhile back. Had it
diagnosed and replaced the maf sensor and crank
shaft sensor. After the crank shaft sensor was
replaced it started. It runs badly and sputters and
backfires when reved. It has barely any power and
once it hits about 3k rpm it looses all power and
sputters and backfires. Help....

Do a tune up. Fix all the possibility s first. If it still acts up,, it maybe the throttle body sensor and or power transfer unit which is under the coils I had to replace those and mine worked fine. But this doesn't mean mine symptoms are yours. But it's a start ...hope this helps
